Meet Our Youth Leaders

Amber // Crew Leader Outgoing, friendly and focused, Amber, a high school freshman, feels like she is already making a difference in her community by leading her peers. Amber loves R&B, but can’t sing to save her life. She plans to pursue a career in sociology.

Aaliyah // Crew Leader Her bubbly personality can brighten anyone’s day. Her passions for art, singing, and poetry will brighten future patients, as she plans to attend the University of Oregon to become a pediatrician. What does Aaliyah enjoy about Youthbiz? “I love to work with others who care about the youth and community.”

Brittany // Crew Leader “YouthBiz is more than a job, but a place were youth learn and grow as a person,” explains Brittany. She is determined to accomplish her goals when she sets her mind to it. Her favorite activities include basketball and hanging out with her friends and family. Brittany plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado to become a veterinarian.

D’Vonte // Crew Leader Supervisor D’Vonte doesn’t know a stranger. This served him well to jump into leading programs as a freshman crew leader. Why did D’Vonte want to be a Crew Leader? “YouthBiz gives youth the opportunity to be what they want to be when they grow up and gives them the skills they need to pursue what they want to do.”

Daisy // Youth Marketing & Fundraising Intern Long-time YouthBiz-er, Daisy now works on marketing & fundraising by managing our social media and supporting events (5K in 5Points was even her idea!). Daisy looks ahead to heading off to school next year to pursue a career in journalism – and she will be a force to be reckoned with!

Yesenia // Crew Leader Supervisor Yesnia is one of our pioneering Crew Leaders at our satellite program, YouthBiz at La Academia. Always friendly and outgoing, Yensenia holds leadership positions at her school, has a sky-high GPA and works to mentor and lead at YouthBiz. (Let’s just say, this girl is going places!)
