The YouthBiz Impact.
During the vital afternoon hours, YouthBiz provides academically-enriched programs that, as research shows, lead to: improved academic achievement, increased social skills and self-confidence, higher aspirations, improved school attendance, and the development of new skills.
Outcomes and Impact
In 2008, YouthBiz served 353local youth who represented 44 different middle and high schools from the Denver metro area. The organization distributed a record-number of youth incentives, with 150 refurbished computers distributed and $151,677 in cash earned by trainees.
YouthBiz trainees accomplished the following in 2007:
• 100% of our youth advanced to the next grade level
• 80% improved their grade-point average
• 58% increased their school attendance
• 75% decrease in office referrals and a 70% decrease in suspensions
YouthBiz has trained and graduated over 3,500 youth from Denver’s urban neighborhoods!
