YouthInk Breaking News!

YouthInk, YouthBiz's social enterprise, brought in over $15,000 in revenue during April, largely with the help of Student Sales Associate, Kassandra Perez. Working with the University of DenverGraduate School of Social Work, Kassandra closed the largest order of 2010. When asked how it felt to successfully close the order after months of phone calls to provide estimates, finalize artwork, and process payment, she replied with a sigh and laugh - "Relief." She added, "But now I feel more prepared for future orders. I am learning how to communicate and build relationships with our customers."

Nadine Bridges, of DU, enjoys not only the quality of the shirts, but supporting the social mission of YouthInk - "Kassandra was nervous at first, but in the end she knew what she had to do. I loved the shirts and working with her. It was so cute."

YouthInk is one of the original YouthBiz programs.  With a grant of $5,000, hangers and donated screens, this youth-founded and youth-run learning empowerment program was launched in 1992 by eight YouthBiz youth from the Cole neighborhood.  In its first year, it generated $35,000 in gross revenue.
